New WWE All Stars Community website

We’ve finished 2010 with a couple of very interesting projects here at Appnovation. One of them, which I had the privilege of working on with Real Pie Media, was the theming of the new WWE All Stars Community website that was just launched accompanying the release of the new All Stars game by THQ.

This site was a pretty large and interesting project to work on and it’s quite pleasant to see sites of this magnitude powered by Drupal. With a database containing a couple hundred thousand users a good performance is a must! It includes: user profiles, forums, social media integration (Facebook and Twitter), lots of video, several layers of themes and sub-themes, dynamic font replacement using “Cufon” and a very good looking design. I used almost everything I know about Drupal and front-end development on this one.

Not a gamer myself but this title looks like a lot of fun and I definitely want to try it.
