Recently, I worked on a project that required a multi-site solution which allowed certain pieces of content to be shared throughout each site. The layout of each site would be very similar with a slight color and logo change. I've explored prefixed tables for sharing content, but that would be a bit more difficult to manage nodes which needed to display on 2 out of 3 sites or any other combination.
