Websites that are surprisingly Drupal based

Sites that are Drupal based that you might not know about.
1. Michael Jackson’s Web Site ( http://www.michaeljackson.com/us/home )
A legend has passed but “his music will live forever.” Something that will keep his memories alive is his Drupal based website.
2. Universal Music ( http://universalmusic.com )
A big name in music, the best way to put it out is by using Drupal, one of the leading Content Management System (CMS) available.
3. Vancouver Aquarium ( http://www.vanaqua.org )
Vancouver Aquarium is one of my favorite places to visit. One day when I was checking for tickets online, I was surprised to see that their website was done in Drupal.
4. FLEX ( http://flex.org )
FLEX, what else I can say, I don`t think you even need to test if this site is really in Drupal or not because of the layout. Very familiar don’t you think? *wink wink
5. World Ultimate & Guts Championship ( http://www.wugc2008.com )
I am a huge fan of Ultimate Frisbee, one of the best sports out there. I watched almost every game that I could when the world tournament took place in Vancouver (at UBC mostly). To look at the schedules, I went to their site and to my surprise another one for Drupal.
6. Gossip Center aka Gossip Girls ( http://www.gossipcenter.com )
I am not a Gossip Queen, I swear! I randomly saw this. HONEST!
7. Bravo TV ( http://www.bravotv.com )
I love cooking! One of my favorite shows to watch is the Top Chef and when I found out that Mattin had left the show, I was not happy at all. Oh well as the saying goes, “That’s show business.”
8. DivX ( http://www.divx.com/ )
There are tons of people who use DivX not only for its video codec but also its very sleek video player, I know I`m one of them. (*side note* Yes! VLC is awesome too)
9. Women’s Health Magazine ( http://www.womenshealthmag.com/ )
This is another one of those random sites that I visited. Totally random!
10. Recovery ( http://www.recovery.gov )
This was all over Drupal sites that American President Barrack Obama uses Drupal! So I just had to add it to my list.
How did I check to see if the sites listed are in fact Drupal based?
1. The infamous “/user” or “/register” pages that most sites do no override these pages.
2. Live HTTP Headers plug-in for Firefox. Props to Angie Byron for posting this. Check it out! (http://www.lullabot.com/articles/is-site-running-drupal)
3. The BuiltWith site is an awesome site to visit. It’s basically a fancy Live HTTP Header plug-in in a form of the website. There is also a plug-in available in Firefox. (http://builtwith.com/)
If there is a site that I`ve posted, which is not Drupal based, please let me know. Also, if you have an interesting site that is Drupal based, please post it so that others may find it just as amusing as I did.

Those are some really nice sites. And you would not really think it is Drupal based at first sight.

"You can also check for "/sites/all/themes/" or "/sites/all/modules/" in the css/js area." ~ Nielsz
Yes! That is another way to check. That format is pretty much how the Drupal system structures its folders.
Thanks for adding! :D
"Or use http://isthissitebuiltwithdrupal.com/" ~ dddave
Nice! I love how its very simple and straight to the point. "YES" :D
Thanks for adding to the this post. I might just create a separate blog just for "How to check if its Drupal".
"wow. Too bad the MJ site looks like crap." ~ dalin
I personally think it is a little on the plain side. However, I do like the silhouette feature in the background. Thanks for commenting!
