Challenge
Public Agenda required a web site that targets multiple audience groups including citizens, educators and policy makers. All site content needed to be categorized to be featured in the appropriate sections. Furthermore, the site features over 10 different types of content, such as: blog posts, articles and issue guides. Some of the content, such as issue guides, included over thirty content fields. As a result, the biggest challenge was ensuring that the Drupal based solution could provide an intuitive content management interface. The site also had be highly scalable as PublicAgenda.org receives heavy traffic monthly.
Solution
Appnovation developed the Drupal based web site over a three and a half months period. We created a large number of custom content management and document management interfaces. These interfaces ensured that staff members can easily locate and edit the content. Major caching mechanisms such as MemCache are used to ensure that the web site can handle large traffic volumes.
