About:

Learn about osCaddie (formerly Canopy), the premiere Alfresco/Drupal integration solution, and how it was successfully implemented at the Sisters of Mercy Health System.

The Sisters of Mercy (Mercy Healthcare) are one of the largest healthcare providers in the US. They needed a document repository system that could scale to support an internal staff of 30K+ employees, and could also serve as the document source for a number of external facing public websites. Appnovation Technologies provided their solution osCaddie; a set of tools designed to bring the best of Alfresco together with the best of Drupal. Drupal is an outstanding web development framework that allows you to build pretty much any kind of website you can think of; perfect for public facing sites. However, a few things that Drupal is not particularly good at are large Document Repositories, Document Workflows and dealing with Hierarchical Data Stores. All great strengths of Alfresco. This webinar covers some of the ways that osCaddie combines these two great platforms and will go into detail on how we used osCaddie to deliver Mercy a full backend/frontend solution. Some topics covered will include: osCaddie overview, Content Management Interoperability Service (CMIS), Drupal/Alfresco with Solr, Custom REST integration, Single Sign On, and others.
