Appnovation Attends EY Entrepreneur of the Year Pacific Gala 2015

EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2015

Accelerating growth, driving innovation and building a strong legacy are what Canadian entrepreneurs do, every day. This year, EY celebrated the achievements of 31 entrepreneurial stars in the Pacific Region through the prestigious EY Entrepreneur Of The Year awards program.

More than 1,700 guests attended the 22nd Annual EY Entrepreneur of the Year Gala at the Vancouver Convention Centre, making it the largest Ernst & Young EOY gala in the world. Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception in the grand foyer before the doors opened to the ballroom for dinner and award presentations.

Our CEO, Arnold Leung was nominated under the ‘Emerging Entrepreneur’ category in the Pacific Region along with two other dynamic CEOs and growing companies, Trevor Styan of Northern Civil Energy Inc. and Trevor Dunn of Sea to Sky Gondola. Congratulations to this year’s B.C. award recipients in all categories (full list here). Particularly in the case of ‘Emerging Entrepreneurs’, accelerating growth and innovation is a daily task, pushing the boundaries every day to change the world.

Entrepreneurs have the courage and passion to make their dreams a reality - to build something of lasting value that benefit us all. We need entrepreneurs now more than ever. Their ability to innovate, to inspire others and to turn their unique business vision into successful reality is truly exhilarating.

The Pacific Region winner is among five finalists for Canada’s EY Entrepreneur of the Year; the Canadian winner advances to the World Entrepreneur of the Year with 50 country finalists, held later this year.

In the last 22 years, the program has achieved several major milestones in Canada:

  • Over 9,000 nominations received
  • More than 3,250 award finalists named
  • Presented more than 1,000 awards — including 42 lifetime achievement awards
  • Over 71,000 guests welcomed to regional award banquets
