SFU's Science AL!VE Visits Appnovation Vancouver

Our Vancouver office got a special treat last Friday when the team when Simon Fraser University's Science AL!VE stopped by for a visit with their brand new LEGO Mindstorm EV3 robot kits. The reason for the visit was a recent pledge Appnovation made allowing the non-profit organization to update their robot kits and laptops for the  youth camps they run throughout BC. Our staff got a real kick out of seeing the robots in action.

Science AL!VE is a student-run not-for-profit organization based at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC. They provide opportunities for youth to explore science beyond the textbook through hands-on, interactive discovery which stimulates their interest and fosters confidence. This excellent organization, now running for 20 consecutive years, strives to make science accessible to all youth, regardless of gender, culture or level of affluence. Their outstanding staff and volunteers are committed to sparking the enthusiasm and imaginations of their audiences, and serve as positive role models, dispelling the stereotypes associated with scientists.
