Appnovation Earns Two UX Design Award Nominations, shortlisted at Creativepool Annual Awards

Vancouver, BC - July 20, 2021 - Two projects led by Appnovation have been shortlisted at the global UX Design Awards competition in Berlin. Appnovation's work on Visit California’s full website redesign and on BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina’s Medicare Plan Finder Tool have been nominated in the Product category. Judging will take place later in July. 

The UX Design Awards are a global competition for outstanding user and customer experience, with entries ranging from products to digital services to experimental applications. is a personalized and mobile-first experience that allows users to find inspirational content, traveler information and planning tools in an intuitive way. The new website was designed with the user in mind, meaning it had to be easy-to-use while inspiring wanderlust for one of the most diverse and scenic travel destinations in the U.S. 

BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina offers comprehensive health insurance plans for individuals, families, Medicare and businesses. The Medicare Plan Finder tool was redesigned into a friendly, empathetic and more human digital tool to help BCBS North Carolina members find the right Medicare plan for them, giving users a unique Medicare experience they can’t find elsewhere.

The UX Design Awards honor the huge impact of accomplished experience design on shaping a positive living environment for all and finding innovative solutions for real-life challenges. Appnovation's work was shortlisted out of entries received from 34 countries.

Creativepool Annual Awards 2021

The Visit California website relaunch project has been shortlisted in the Web and Effectiveness categories at the Creativepool Annual - a digital and advertising industry award that brings together a collection of the best and brightest campaigns, brands, agencies, industry leaders and emerging talent from across the globe. The Annual is the only creative awards that has a People’s Choice element to it, engaging people from across the global creative community to vote for their favorite pieces.
