Business Challenge

Central 1 is a key technology provider to over 300 financial institutions in Canada through MemberDirect® Services, Canada’s largest outsourced direct banking solution serving more than 4 million users across desktop, mobile and phone banking. Central 1 is recognized for bringing a number of mobile firsts to the market, including mobile Interac(R) e-transfer and most recently the mobile cheque deposit feature, Deposit Anywhere. Central 1 wanted to build a mobile app that offers customer sought-after daily banking services in a fast and secure mobile app environment.

Our Approach

Appnovation helped Central 1 with support and development of their MemberDirect Mobile App (including mobile wallet capabilities) in an effort to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving mobile banking space. The app, available for both iOS and Android, supports a full stack of banking functionality including remote cheque deposit and e-transfer payment processing to enable a better overall mobile digital banking experience for customers.
