Business Challenge
Founded in 1908, the Certified General Accountants (CGA) Association of Canada serves Certified General Accountants and students in Canada and nearly 100 countries.
To help make it easier for the general public to find an accountant with the distinguished CGA designation, CGA-Canada wanted to create a mobile experience to locate these professionals right in the palm of their hand.
Our Approach
The smartphone application would need to be able to tap into the organization’s database of its active members as well as access the mobile devices geo-location capabilities. Working in conjunction with trigger.io, Appnovation developed the "Need An Accountant" mobile application for CGA Canada. Using their member database, the mobile app uses GPS mapping to help users find CGAs located near them. The application allows for advanced search by Service and Industry Sectors and provides the contact information for CGA members.
Customer Outcome
Users can now easily search and locate a CPA professional in their area, knowing that they're a respected voice in the business government, education and non-profit sectors, and champions of sustainable economic growth and social development in Canada.
