Challenge

The US Department of Defense (DoD) is an executive branch department of the federal government charged with coordinating and supervising all agencies and functions of the government concerned directly with national security and the United States Armed Forces.

The Department of Defense wanted to design and develop a solution that assisted military spouses with finding flexible work opportunities.

Solution

Appnovation developed a system called "Military One Source" on the Drupal CMS (opens in new window) that put military spouses in touch with web based career counselors to obtain flexible work positions with top employers.

Military OneSource provides comprehensive education and career guidance, support and resources to military spouses pursuing employment or an advanced degree. With easy access to fresh content related to career exploration; education, training, employment readiness and career connections, military spouses have the tips and strategies to make their education and career ambitions come true.
