Challenge

MetLife is among the largest global providers of insurance, annuities, and employee benefit programs, with 90 million customers in over 60 countries. MetLife wanted a tool for their employees to quickly and easily provide a quote for insurance premiums.

Solution

The Appnovation development team provided MetLife with a mobile (tablet, android, iPhone) and desktop tool, the Quick Predict Underwriting Tool (QPUT) that pre-qualifies clients through a series of questions/decision tree.

The QPUT is used by insurance sales agents in the field to determine what the end customer's likely insurable premium level might be, based on an involved series of questions and back-end logic. QPUT features complex logic and answers weighting, plus responsive design for use on desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone.

Result

MetLife’s insurance sales agents in the field now have an interactive tool to help quickly estimate the impact particular medical and lifestyle factors have on a life insurance policy premium, saving valuable time for their clients.
