Visit California’s website inspires travelers by showcasing experiences and attractions throughout California’s 12 tourism regions. But, a regional brand needs a global reach, and a digital experience that transcends geography, and it was time for Visit California to evolve their web and mobile presence. 

Our Approach

What did they need? A partner that could deliver digital support, define marketing strategic objectives, develop web strategy initiatives, to promote Visit California’s global brand..and ensure a superb user experience for all users: designed for customer engagement, with an international reach. From website maintenance, support, strategy, design and development, this project was as vast as the state of California itself. 

After a very successful website redesign with Appnovation, Visit California decided to continue their partnership with Appnovation by choosing our Managed Services Subscription. They were impressed with our Drupal expertise and were eager for Appnovation to support and maintain the site, as well as building additional features. They had a strong SLA and a fast moving website with over 28 million visitors annually, so our 24/7 availability and fast response time was crucial.

During our MS partnership, Appnovation provided multiple additional features to their site including extra taxonomy, a rollout of the design and development of Dream365 video content, integration of a new Podcast feature, and added multi-lingual capabilities via Lingotek. We also provided digital strategy services ranging from SEO insights to Google Analytics while performing regular quarterly interpretation and alignment of the traffic to Visit California's business goals.
