For many, our last meal was probably a few hours ago, and you might be about to have your next one. With over 3,000 homeless in Montreal, it may have been 12 hours since their last meal, if they've eaten at all.

Our Montreal office partnered with Dans la rue, a charitable organization that helps homeless and at-risk youth. With dedication, empathy and respect, and with the support of the community, Dans la rue cares for their immediate needs and helps them acquire the skills and resources needed to lead more autonomous and rewarding lives.

A team of 12 Appnovators, including VP Global Business Development James Heise, gathered after work and spent an hour assembling freshly steamed hot dogs.

“The Appnovation Montreal team helped Dans la rue prepare hot dogs for our weekly food service. Thanks to their amazing efforts, over 500 homeless and at-risk youth got a warm meal," said Michelle LeDonne, Development Advisor at Dans la rue. "We're so thankful for their enthusiasm, hard work, and support. It means so much to work with volunteers who truly believe in the cause!”

The weather outside may be frightful, but we were able to provide 1500+ hot dogs and a place to warm up, making it a delightful evening for youth in need.

Thinking globally and acting locally is a philosophy embedded within Appnovation’s Corporate Citizenship program, stay tuned for more ways we're giving back this December!
