Appnovation is proud to announce that it has been listed as a finalist in the Community Engagement category for BC Tech Association’s 2017 Technology Impact Awards.
As the longest running and largest technology awards program in the province, the awards honour companies in ten categories, recognizing outstanding technology, companies, and individuals. This year, the finalists represent a multitude of sectors, including software, financial technology (fintech) and cleantech, as well as the cutting edge field of health and medical technology.
The Community Engagement award recognizes companies that build a corporate culture that has a positive impact in the communities in which they work and live. To Appnovation, Corporate Citizenship represents a real commitment; a commitment to being active in our communities, to fulfill our social duties and contribute to worthy causes. As a company, we want to put into practice our desire to act as a force for good.
Appnovation’s Corporate Citizenship program focuses on 4 pillars:
Using our technical expertise to create solutions for non-profits,
Donating development hours to non-profits,
Fundraising for our local communities, and
Providing volunteer opportunities for staff
“This has been an outstanding year for our industry and our 2017 TIAs finalists are a reflection of the incredible calibre and diversity of tech companies in BC,” said Bill Tam, BC Tech President and CEO. “These companies are a clear demonstration of the strength of the tech sector and the incredible innovation that is taking place across the province.
All winners will be announced on June 22nd, at the 2017 Technology Impact Awards gala, to be held at the Vancouver Convention Centre - West.
